In 1927, Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz finished work on Nienasycenie, a chaotic and disorienting work of literature that became known as Insatiability after it was translated into English.

Tenzer, one of the book’s exuberant and brutally indecent characters, insists that noise is a marvelous thing.

“It can deafen us, blind us, overpower the will, and produce a real Dionysian frenzy in an abstract dimension,” he says. “And yet it is; it’s not just some intellectual tease. Silence is death.”

Tenzer’s rants seem like a pertinent way to introduce machinemusic.org.

The new site will replace pas chic chic’s blog in the sense that there will no longer be regular music-related posts here on paschicchic.com (all future posts will be strictly about the band).
